Our mission is to work towards a more accepting environment for all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity through education, support, social action, and advocacy. We believe that schools can truly be safe ONLY when every student is assured of access to an education without fear of harassment or violence.

Providing Support
One of our primary goals is to provide support to students who are struggling with their identity as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or questioning or those who are experiencing harassment at school because of their actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.
|
Building Community
Another of our goals is to function as a social group. We want to provide a sense of community and a space for LGBTQ and straight ally youth to build a social network where their identity is respected. We seek to build community at Smyrna High and lessen the isolation that LGBTQ students might otherwise experience.

Creating Change
In addition to support and community we want to work on educating ourselves and the broader school community about sexual orientation and gender identity issues.
